During this summer we have successfully commissioned turn-key 4.5MW boiler plant for wood pellet production with belt dryer in Launkalne, Latvia.

It`s a hot water (140C, 10bar) vertical boiler AK series in combination with highly efficient moving grate combustion system KAP from Komforts Group range. As a main fuel our customer (AS Stora Enso Latvia) suppose to use mixture of woodchips and bark with total moisture up to 55%.

All main technological equipment was produced by our company. Apart from the combustion, boiler and hydraulic feeding systems, our scope included module type fuel storages as well as chain conveyors for the fuel handling and drum magnet separator for metal separation. Wet ash system, including wet ash chain conveyor and ash containers. For additional flue gas cleaning we have installed multi-cyclone and ESP, as reliable and efficient solution.

For supporting systems only high-end manufactures were used, for example air system for our moving grate combustion was supplied by our partner Marelli Ventilazione (@marelliventilazione), as well as flue gas recirculation and main draft fan. Hydraulic power systems for fuel storages and combustion was supplied by our permanent partner Hansa Flex Hidraulika (@hansaflexhidraulika). All components for water piping (pumps, valves, shutters etc.) are from KSB Company (@KSB.Company).
